Based by report of RISKESDAS, ARI incidents from 2007 to 2013 is rising. ARI prevalence in Jakarta is 25,2%. Looking at the alarming rates of ARDs, researchers would like to see what comparisons are the cause of ARD events in both regions. Methods : This research is a research of analytic descriptive with the cross sectional approachment. Respondents for this study is taken from informal workers in Bundaran Hotel Indonesia and Jagakarsa with consecutive sampling technique. Modified ATS-DLD-78-A questionnaire is given to respondent to determine the state of health, the habit of using mask, and smoking habit. Result : 130 people take part in this research, 55 respondents suffered from ARI . Bivariate analyzes found that here is a relation between ARI and gender (p = 0,01), ARI and smoking habits (p = 0,011), However, on the location factor found respondents who suffer from ARI in Bundaran Hotel Indonesia has a risk of 2.970 times suffering from ARI longer than in Jagakarsa. Conclusion : Smoking habits and gender become risk factor of ARI in Jakarta. Location becomes a risk factor to aggravate the incidence of ARI in Jakarta.
