Low Back Pain (LBP) is general health issue in worldwide society. It was estimated in 40% population at Central Java above 65 years old, with prevalence of men 18,2% and women 13,6%.among Indonesian people, LBP 's incidence ranges fiom 3-1 7%. This research aims to know the relationship between overweight and Low Back Pain in non-hospitalized patients in Neurology department of Prof Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital. This cross-sectional study was held in 90 respondents. Quota sampling was used to collect respondent. LBP was diagnosed based on physical examination. Overweight was diagnosed as body mass index > 25 kg/m2 in male and > 23 kg/m2 in female. Chi square analysis showed a relationship between overweight and LBP p=0,03). Logistic regression showed overweight contributes 16,5% in LBP (r2= 0, 165).
