Remote sensing satellite ALOS (Advanced Land Observing Satellite) made in Japan has two optical sensors and a radar sensor, resulting in three types of PRISM data, A VNIR-2 and PALSAR. This paper examines the system characteristics and the ALOS satellite data products and their potential application data. The method is by studying literature / information / data obtained from several sources of research results and internet media. The study explains that three types of sensors (PRISM, AVNIR-2 and PALSAR) data products with a spatial resolution of each is 2.5 m, 10 m and 10-100 m. The three types of ALOS data can be used for observation of natural resource extraction and physical parameters of objects on the surface of the earth. As an application mapping, regional development planning, management of natural resources (agriculture, forestty, farming, geology, oceanographyetc), natural disaster management, and environmental monitoring.
