Conversion of edible oil; linseed oil (Linum Usitatissimum) to epoxide can exist by epoxidation reaction using peracetic acid (a mixture of acetic acid and peroxide) which applied by in situ. The epoxide product has been characterized. The aim of the research was to identify the influence of temperature and catalyst to the oxirane number of linseed epoxide. The ratio of acetic acid to peroxide were 1/3,66; 1/3, 74; 1/3,89; and 1/3,97 (mol/mol); with temperature 60derajatC and 70derajatC; amount of catalyst 1,3; 1,5; 1,6; 1,7; and 2,0% (v/v). The conclusion of this research was the epoxide oxirane number was achieved at 5,8% with reactant ratio 1/3, 74; catalyst concentration 1,3% (vlv) at temperature 60derajatC
