The development of rural area (villages) must actually establish the position of the village,not only as an object but become the subject oh the development. It means that the people of the village must have role and be able to plan and implement the development. So, we can say that the rural area must become the main goal of the national development, because the success of development in rural area includes the necessary of majority Indonesian people. Beside that, to implement the development is not separate from the role of the leader that function as guide, controller, counselor and motivatot or bring the people to the aim that they want to realize according to ! stipulation time, and planning. The improving of development in Doom Village has a close relationship with the role of the village head as a leader to activate and directing the participation of local people. But we also have to consider that the success of development in Doom Village is not merely depend on the role of the village head, but there are other factor such as the role of informal leader. Therefore, the role of this informal leader must be involved in various activity relation with th edevelopment in local area, either in physical or nophysical field.
