Dengue infection causes symptoms that vary widely, ranging from asymptomatic, mild to severe symptoms. These severe symptoms associated with Dengue Fever and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). DHF has a fairly high incidence rate in Indonesia. In 2014, the prevalence of DHF until the middle of December in 34 provinces in Indonesia, were 71 668 people, and 641 of them died. Dengue infection causes changes in the number of leukocytes, such as neutrophils and lymphocytes, and there is also a change in the number of thrombocytes. Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) can be a measuring tool for the systemic inflammatory that is effective and easy to calculate. NLR is calculated by comparing the number of neutrophil to the number of lymphocyte. This study is conducted to obtain the value of NLR and the value of thrombocyte, as well as to obtain the relationship between the value of NLR and the value of thrombocyte in patients with Dengue infection. This study is conducted with cross sectional method on 100 patients with Dengue infection at Mitra Keluarga Kelapa Gading Jakarta Hospital. The results of this study are the average value of NLR in patients with Dengue infection is 1.28 ± 0.23 (1.05 to 1.51) and the average value of thrombocyte is 176,740 ± 8,157 (168,583-184,897). This study obtains the statistical relationship between the value of NLR and the value of thrombocyte in patients with Dengue infection. |
