Abstract
The study identifies the perception of school climate among students, teachers and parents, and the factors influencing their perception toward school climate. A mixed method of quantitative by administering Perception of School Climate Inventory survey, and qualitative study by observing and interviewing selected participants, were employed. Four Inclusive Senior High schools and two Inclusive Vocational High Schools in Jakarta, Bandung, and Solo participated for the study, with 475 regular students, 20 special needs students, 127 teachers, and 219 parents. The study shows that perception of special needs students toward school climate to be more positive compared to the regulars’. Students from regular high school were found to have a more positive perception toward school climate than students in vocational high schools. Teachers of vocational high schools were found to have a more positive perception toward school climate than teachers of senior high schools. There were no significant differences on perception of school climate between parents from regular and vocational high schools.
