Abstract
Human has many physical characteristics, from the one with high physique power, high endurance and many types of unique physique characteristics, but on the other hand, there is a defective type of physique. This physique defect can be happened either by accident or happen from birth. Most types of the defect prevent a person to do daily activities normally. But this can be fixed by using the exoskeleton or a wearable outer frame to support human capabilities. With that goal, this paper will focus on studying and developing an exoskeleton prototype that can help human with a physical defect. In specific, this paper will try to develop one degree of freedom exoskeleton that can help the movement of a human limb by using a light weight and flexible actuator, an air muscle to be precise. By using air muscle the exoskeleton is expected to mimic human limb movement without giving too much burden to the body of the wearer.
