PT. Indonesia Polyurethane Industry is a company that apply make to order system to fulfill their daily production. There are two factors that influence the company's inventory policy, the first factor is stochastic inventory system, which caused by the fluctuation needs of raw materials and thesecond factor is minimum order quantity policy applied by the supplier. Up to now the company has not implemented the effective inventory system by considering above mentioned factors. As a result there are a lot of excess inventory of raw material and become idle source for each month, it is impacting the cost especially saving cost. The aims of this study is to provide improvement of inventory problems at PT. IPI with three approach models, all the models are using periodic review approach. The models used in this research are R,S,s, R,s,t,Qmin, dan R,S,Qmin. Based on three above mentioned approach models, the method that has the smallest total cost is R,s,t,Qmin, dan R,S,Qmin with total inventory cost of Rp 6.161.480,-for PIU product B and Rp 866.278,-for curative product. |
