Abstract
This research aims to perform a detailed planning of business development strategies that have been formulated for Sushi Man restaurant by conducting an environmental analysis that can be the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that Sushi Man restaurant has today. Sushi Man Restaurant is one of the new food business that serves typical Japanese food such as sushi located on Jl. Biru Laut, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. Currently, the owner of Sushi Man has a goal to open branches in various regions in the hope that Sushi Man can be widely known by the community. By looking at the conditions in North Jakarta region with a high level of competition in the food industry, Sushi Man owners need a good plan in overcoming the current state of the company. A planning needs to be done consists of planning the right strategy and designing the detail of strategic planning execution time undertaken for business goals can be achieved. The method used in this research consisted of EFE matrix, IFE matrix, IE matrix, SWOT matrix, and QSPM. Environmental analysis that has been processed with EFE and IFE matrix shows that Sushi Man is located in quadrant V in IE matrix where suitable strategy is a hold and maintain strategy consisting of market penetration strategy and product development strategy. There are 8 alternative strategies formed through SWOT matrix with the determination of priority strategy with QSPM method which is conducting consumer surveys to find out consumer ratings and desires with the highest value of TAS (Total Attractiveness Score) 6,273. The final step is to do a strategic planning for Sushi Man over the next 3 years which is divided into marketing planning and operational planning based on the existing strategy alternatives. With the annual planning done by the owner, the business goal was certainly to be achieved well.
