In the application, AISI 1050 Steel is widely used in motorcycle components such as chain link and follower arm. In accordance with the designation, required to have high toughness. One way to obtain such mechanical properties is through the process of heat treatment by austempering method. The austempering process will be associated with the effect of temperature on changes in mechanical properties such as microstructure, hardness and toughness.
