Normally the children born from mixed-marriage parents who have divorced would have the effect and influence their personal status. The objective of this article is to discuss the study case of the divorce mixed marriage parents and the effect on the children, in accordance with Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriages in Indonesia. The methods used are a normative law of study case and library research. The data collected descriptively analyzed. The result show that (1) a legal protection given as the effect of the status of children born mixed marriage which is regarded as a citizen of the Republic of Indonesia that the child holds citizenship later, when he/she is 18 years old or is marriage (2) The parents has the obligation to look after, educate the children until they have grown up as adults.
