Background : Bullying is a health issue around the world which the prevalence and the impact is increasing. Emotional and behavioral problems as a result of bullying behavior impact on adolescent development, family, school and community. Purposes : To know the overview of behavioural dan emotinal problems among junior high school students with bullying in Penjaringan North Jakarta. Methods : This cross sectional research was done on 1.213 students of junior high school in Penjaringan North Jakarta. Respondents filled out a questionnaire on demographic and Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Analysis of this data is univariate. Results : The prevalence of bullying in junior high school students in Penjaringan is (36%) including (16.7%) involved as victims, (10.9%) as a victim and perpetrator, (8.1%) as a perpetrator, (64%) as an observer. There is (31%) of respondents with bullying have emotional and behavioral problems, including peer group problems (14.9%), conduct problems (13.7%), emotional problems (8.6%), hyperactivity (6.1%) and prosocial relationship problems (6%). Emotional and behavioural problems in observer about (48.3%). Most emotional and behavioral problems in women is peer group problems (36.7%), while the men were emotional problems (27.4%). Conlusions : Bullying among junior high school students in penjaringan is about 36% with emotional and behavioral problems around 80.2%. |
