Abstract
Technology of wind power is a source energy that develops the fastest in the world. In high speed wind regions, Wind turbines are able to compete with other power plants that use unrenewable energy. In Indonesia, there are only a few number of wind turbines and therefore the concept of designing a wind
turbine in particular a horizontal axis wind turbine is still limited. This final project will discuss the design of 25 watt capacity horizontal axis wind turbine using a 3D printing machine to produce a ready-to-use electricity. In project planning, there will be a calculations about the power of wind turbine, turbine shaft, and gears. Horizontal axis wind turbine has been well designed and built and after going through the testing process, the turbine could run well in line with the planner’s expectations.
