This attitude should be owned not only by doctors, but also medical students as the doctors to be. Ideally there must be an increase in the value of empathy along with the increase in the level of students' knowledge. A research on the relationship between the level of knowledge and empathy at Atma Jaya Catholic University medical student is needed to determine whether there is such a relationship. Objectives: This study aimed to describe the relationship of knowledge level and empathy score in medical students of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia year 2015-2016. Methods: The study is a descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional approach. About 98 medical students of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia year 2013 and 2015 who filled out the Baron- Cohen Empathy Quotient in January- February 2016. Result: There were a relationship between knowledge level and empathy score (p= 0.016). Conclusion: The higher of the knowledge level in medical students of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, the higher score in empathy.
