Iron is a mineral essential for life, plays a role in many, metabolic processes. Although it is very important, iron also can be toxic in excessive quantities. Through the Fenton reaction, iron as a mineral transit can generate various reactive oxygen or nitrogen reactive, so that abnormal metabolism of iron can cause the pathogenesis of several chronic diseases. The purpose of this paper to discuss Oxidative stress is one of the main factors for diabetes and diabetic complications. By using the methods of experimental and theoretical analysis, it is found that iron accumulation results showed not only increases the risk of insulin resistance and diabetes, but also cause cardiovascular disease.
