The health problems related with ageing leads to growing need for health workers to provide care for elder people. Therefore, health workers need to have correct knowledge and attitude toward elderly to manage older patient holistically and give comprehensive care to them. Objective The aim of this study was to compare students’ knowledge and attitude toward ederly between medical and psychology students at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. Methods A total of 86 first, second, and third year students completed the study. Students’ knowledge and attitude were measured with Students’ Knowledge and Attitude toward Elderly Questionnaire. A comparison between medical and psychology students’ knowledge and attitude was assessed using independent T-test. Results The results show that medical and psychology students have high knowledge level and attitude toward elderly. Although the mean score of psychology students was higher in comparison to medical students, this was not significantly different.
