The signal from the show floor was buy, buy, buy, be it machinery or materials, and the 2100 exhibitors showcasing their wares were busied by a crush of 81,435 visitors over the course of the four-day show, including 14,701 who arrived primarily from overseas emerging economies. These offshore visitors increasingly see Chinaplas as a forum for sourcing not only low-cost Chinese machinery, but also the latest in European, Japanese, and North American technology.
