Isi artikelMonopoly is a game with the various features of the image that can help students to learn more enjoyable activities through the game in the classroom. Through some innovation and development, it is expected that Monopoly has become the media to create alternative learning Integrated Social Science at the junior high school that use PAKEM learning as a tool. This study aims to describe the use of the media MONSTER as an alternative to the Integrated Social Science subjects in junior high. Research is classified as a research development, namely, to develop a media Integrated Social Science, which comes from the monopoly. Data collected includes data KTSP Integrated Social Science at the junior high schools, PAKEM, Learning Media, and the game Monopoly. The data collected with the technical documentation and analyzed with descriptive and qualitative analysis techniques. MONSTER stands for Monopoly Integrated Social Science. In the MONSTER, it is found in the material I cargo Integrated Social Science subjects, so the media can be used in learning activities. MONSTER can be used to help teachers Integrated Social Science subjects to create a PAKEM learning. In terms of the selection criteria, the media, MONSTER is an effective medium for learning activities and meet the criteria ACTION (Access, Cost, Technology, Interactivity, Organization, and novelty). MONSTER has several advantages, namely: 1) The view that good and interesting, 2) Components of a simple, easily made and low-cost, 3) It is understood the students and played, 4) Containing elements, and instructive lessons related to the Integrated Social Science. Some weakness: 1) lack of deepness knowledge that can be presented, and 2) the limited number of students who can engage in one medium. These limitations can be overcome by: 1) the existence of the additional explanations from teachers to rural materials and 2) Providing MONSTER in the number of adequate in the learning activities.
