Abstract
Background : Stroke is the second leading cause of death in the world. Hemorrhagic stroke has higher mortality and morbidity than ischemic stroke. There are some factors thought to be correlated to the patient’s outcome such as ICH score, blood pressure and management choice.
Objective : The purpose of this research is to know whether ICH score, blood pressure and management correlate with the outcome of hemorrhagic stroke patient.
Method : This cross sectional research used data from Atma Jaya hospital’s medical record from 2013-2015. Then the data were analyzed using Fisher Exact Test, Mann Whitney Test and Spearman Correlation Test. This research used 41 medical record data and the sampling method was total sampling. The data used in this research were ICH score, blood pressure counted as mean arterial pressure (MAP),
management and outcome which is classified using mRS score.
Result : Out of 41 medical record, 30 patients (73.2%) had ICH score = 2 and 11 patients (26.8%) had ICH score > 2. All patient had elevated blood pressure with average systolic and diastolic blood pressure of 179 mmHg and 106 mmHg. There were 31 patients (75.6%) treated conservatively and 10 patients (24.4%) were operated. ICH score with mRS score (p=0.028), MAP with mRS score (p=0.017) and
management choice (conservative / operative) with mRS score (p=0.480).
Conclusion : ICH score and blood pressure correlate with mRs score, whereas management choice doesn’t affect mRS score.
