Abstract
PT. Digitraffic Indonesia is a company, which engaged in the field of digital advertising services that are needed in the pattern of effective marketing in the digital era that is developing at this time. The company serves the installation services of Google Adwords, Web Creative, Google Analytics, Social Media and Search Engine Opitimizer. The increasingly fierce competition in the digital age has demanded PT. Digitraffic Indonesia to continue improving its service quality. Consequently, the occurrence of mental workload is also increasing. It is becoming very essential to analyze the mental workload, because it can affect the productivity of a worker. Mental workload analysis could be used as a basis for calculating the optimal number of employees, where the optimal number of employees are very closely linked to the efficiency and productivity, as well as the costs to be incurred by the company. It is inevitable that the optimal number of employees should also be balanced with its competence. Only employees with adequate competence that can help the company achieve its goals. Therefore, it would require an analysis of the measurement of mental workload in order to provide recommendations on the determination of the optimal number of employees and gap competency analysis that occurs in PT. Digitraffic Indonesia, and one method that can be used to measure the mental workload is NASA-TLX. NASA-TLX is a method of measuring mental workload which has six subscales measurement, which are Mental Demand, Physical Demand, Temporal Demand, Performance, Effort and Frustration. Based on the measurements that have been made towards 47 employees, it appears that the average value of Weighted Workload in PT. Digitraffic Indonesia is 78.52, which indicates that the mental workload has been quite optimal for their employees. This value also indicates that the calculation of the number of employees needs theoretically gives the same result with the actual conditions. Gap competency analysis is then performed by measuring the level of importance of competence (KPT), the level of job competency requirements (KKJ) and the level of individual competencies for each division. The calculation shows that the average gap competence of the company is at -0.03. This negative value gives an indication KI lower than KKJ. Therefore, PT. Digitraffic Indonesia should provide training related to competences which have negative gaps, and for competencies that have a positive value gap, it could be done through job enlargement.
