There is so many controversy about the influence of John Cunningham Virus infection against clinicopathologic of colorectal cancer in patients. This study was conducted to prove the influence of John Cunningham Virus infection with index of cell cancer proliferation. Objective. This research was conducted through the examination of cell proliferation activity by immunohistochemistry using primary antibody Ki-67. There are 12 samples of adenocarcinoma colon were fixed with formalin and then made paraffin blocks. Result. This study measures the proliferation index Ki-67 in colorectal cancer with John Cunningham Virus either positive or negative. There are two positive samples infected with John Cunningham Virus and 10 samples negative. Index of cell proliferation in positive samples infected with John Cunningham Virus is 0% and 11%, while index of cell proliferation in the negative sample is 0% to 29%. Conclusion. No significant association between colorectal cancer with John Cunningham Virus positive and colorectal cancer with John Cunningham Virus negative to index of cell proliferation Ki-67.
