Background. Occupational stress is a condition of stress caused by work. Occupational stress causes potential negative effect towards workers, such as demotivation and decreased work performance, physical illness, and mental disorders Goals. Determining the relation of occupational stress with psychopathology in administrative staffs of Atma Jaya Hospital. Methods. This research is done cross-sectionally to 48 administrative staff of Atma Jaya Hospital, Jakarta, on November 2015 – January 2016. This research uses demographic questionnaire, Survey Diagnosis Stress 30 (SDS-30), and Symptom Check List 90 (SCL-90). Data is then analyzed, univariate and bivariate test. Results. 48 administrative staff with age ranging from 21 to 54, and mean age 33 years old, 75% women, 62.5% unmarried, 70.8% bachelor degree, 86.5% with adequate economic status. Majority of the staff had moderate level of stress and 41.67% are psychopathologically positive. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test shows that there is no relation between occupational stress and psychopathology. Conclusions. Occupational stress has no relation with psychopathology. |
