The role of human resource has been shifting from administrative and operational to strategic role. It is recognized that human resource does have capability to contribute in achieving bottom-line organization results. The most difficult challenge deals with human resource profesional is how to measure the bottom-line impact of human resource practices. Moving from traditional measures to strategic performance measures is required. This is done by aligning human resource architecture into the strategy map. This alignment directly drives successful strategy execution. In the meantime, concept of return on investment (ROt) or net present value (NPV) can be used to measure the net cash benefits resulting from human resource interventions.
