However, early detection through BSE (Breast Self Examination) is still important. BSE is a sensitive method to detect early changes in breast tissue, especially among women who have risk factors for breast cancer. This study aims to find out the relationship among knowledge, attitude and practice of BSE among female medicine student in Faculty of Medicine Atma Jaya University year 2012. Methods: This research is a descriptive study with cross-sectional approach, involving 134 female medical students. Voluntary filled questionnaire is used to collect data. Data was analyzed by SPSS 15 program for Windows. Chi-square test was done by 95% Confidence Interval and p<0.05 was determined for significancy. Result: 52.2% of respondents had good knowledge, 74.6% had good attitude and 55.2% had good BSE behavior. There is a significant relationship between knowledge and behavior of BSE (p = 0.001) and between knowledge and attitudes (p = 0.007). There is no significant relationship between attitudes and behavior BSE (p = 0057). Conclusion: This research shows the necessity to give proper and educative information to female medical students in form of lecture, seminar, brochure or workshop about the BSE.
