Isi artikelWe assume that students in higher education institutions are adult people who should be encouraged and motivated as adult learners. Moreover, students are diverse; they bring multiple perspectives to the classroom (diverse backgrounds, learning styles, experiences, and aspirations). Hence, as teachers, we can no longer assume a "one-size¬fits-all approach". The adult psychological condition will foster the student-centered learning (SCL) process. The SCL is built on the principles of learning which consist of active and constructive process as well as social activity, require mental reflection, use prior knowledge, take time, depend on rich context, and need motivation. The process of leaming is a cycle of reflection (thinking about what happened), idea (of something to try), action (trying out something), and result (of concrete experience).
