Background: Cytotoxic chemotherapy defined as group of agents using to inhibit the growth of malignant cells. Beside the toxic nature, these agents have impact on the normally active mitotic cells such as in the gastrointestinal mucous membrane, bone marrow and skin. Objective: Objective of this review is to discuss about type of cytostatic drug, clinical manifestation and management of side effects of cytostatic drug on skin that are commonly found. Discussion and Conclusion: The clinical manifestation of mucocutaneous toxic effects due to cycotoxic chemotherapy are varies include hair, mucous membrane and nail disorders. The severity of these disorders ranges from condition that are mainly of cosmetic concern to those that are potentially life-threatening. Besides, these mucocutaneous toxic effects can enhance morbidity and psychological stress to the patients that have impact on cancer therapy successfulness so the appropriate management should be done.
