Introduction: Use of electronic media on children and adolescents are increasing and tend to be excessive. Excessive use of electronic media can cause mental and behavioral effects such as changes sleep pattern that furthermore can affect up with learning problems, behavioral and emotion problems. Objective: To determine the impact of electronic media use on sleep patterns in children and adolescents. Method: Journal search from from google scholar, Pubmed, ProQuest, Clinical Key, Springerlink, Elsevier, American Academy of Pediatrics, dan Atma Jaya Library using Keywords electronic media, sleep pattern, children, adolescents. Result:.Excessive use of electronic media causes sleeping late, reduced duration of sleep and poor sleep quality. Poor sleep quality causes decreased day performance, increasedtiredness in daylight, furthermore could impact on mental and behavioral problems of children and adolescencents.
