Success of repair operation depends on many factors such as age, time to come to hospital dan treatment, patient condition, and post operation care. Objective: Objective of this study is to investigate Influence success factors of repair surgery of gaster perforation in Emergency Department. Methods: This is a retrospective study of gaster perforation in emergency department from January 2002 to Juli 2007 that fulfill eligible criteria. Dependent variable is result of surgery and independent variable factors that may influence result of sugery both perioperative and durante operation. The outcome is measured on day 30 post operation. Mann-Whitney U, chi-square (Fisher exact) and t-test are is used to analyse data. Result and conclusion: There are 17 cases of gaster perforation which sonsist 13 males (76,5%), and 4 females (23,5%) and average age is 53.65±13.67 years. It shows significantly defferent with those patient who die (75.50±45.38 hours and 81.25±45.9. The survivor patients show significant different on pulse rate, respiration rate, blood urea nitrogen level, creatinine level, albumin level, hemoglobin level, size of perforation, durante of surgery, durante care in intensive care unit. Therefore, it can be concluded that success of repair surgery of gaster perforation depends on time of arrival in hospital, time of surgery, pulse rate, respiratory rate, level of BUN, creatinin, albumin, haemoglobin, size of perforation, length of surgery, length of care in intensive care unit.
