Isi artikel
A hemangioma is a benign neoplastic tumour rising from proliferating endothel of blood ves¬sel that may occur in any part of the body such as face, orbital space, liver, nasopharynx, and larynx/subglotis. Hemangioma is considered as a vascular tumor that mostly involves the area of head-neck (60%) and 10% affects the larynx. Jones at all. reported, from 270 cases of benign laringeal tumor, hemangioma was found in 5 cases (2%). This tumour is rarely found in larynx, especially the subglotic part, however, once it occurrs there, it can lead to significant airway ob-struction. A male, 39 years old, came with a chief complaint of dysphony since 1 year earlier that worsened slowly, with difficulty breathing and history of active smoker. ENT examination and fiberendoscopic examination showed there was a tumor mass at the right subglotic area, histopathology post -operative described cavernous hemangioma, which is an unusual case for a 39 years old man. The patient was treated successfully.
