Isi artikel
The purpose of this study was to asses the clinical results of patients with cervical disorders i.e, trauma, tumor and degenerative who were treated by cervical decompressive surgery with or without instrumentations. The variables were documented i.e. sex, age, diagnostic, type of instrumentations, JOA score pre and postoperatively, and improvements ratio. Seventy two pa¬tients were involved in this study, consisted of 16 spondylosis, 1 spondylolisthesis, 9 spondylosis with trauma, 44 cervical fractures and 2 cervical tumors cases. Laminectomy decompressive procedure was done with or without medial facetectomy for adequate decompression. Segmental Spinal Instrumentation implants were placed i.e. Hartshill in 39 patients, Luque in 10 patients, Plat and Wire in 15 patients and without implant in 8 patients. Improvement in an average 31% was shown on the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scores, and 20 deaths occured due to systemic infection diseases. Most of the treatment was decompressive surgery with or without instrumentations, the recovery rate by Hirabayashi's formula of JOA scores preoperative and postoperatively has significance result for cervical decompressive surgery.
