Abstract
This article tries to articulate how the implementation of labor market flexibility and company recruitment strategies. Labor market flexibility (LMF) includes numerical flexibility, wage flexibility, dan functional flexibility. For government, LMF is believed to reduce unemployment rate. As for companies, this will help them to reduce labor cost but bring no guarantee to labor. LMF can be seen in form of agreement between company and labor, and outsourcing scheme. The impact of LMF can be drawn in their recruitment strategies. At least, there are two strategies which are high-involvement strategy and low involvement strategy. In order to manage LMF, companies try to adjust their recruitment strategies with LMF. Concrete activities of the government to anticipate LMF is through increased bargaining power of labor.
