Components within a machine has its own specifications, where the level of softness and shape metal components used have a minimum standard. One company that is engaged in metal casting is PT. Mustanindo Prima Lestari, where the company always operates according to incoming orders. The company makes various forms of equipment using metallic base material, a metal that is used consists of two types of new metal and scrap metal. This research is discussing about production planning and controlling with attention to the suitability amount of incoming order with the currently available capacity. Although the company has been operating since 1984, they still have some problems to face like the lack of consideration will be effective ordering lot size in the material requirements planning and also the standard for accepting or rejecting incoming orders. Under these conditions, the planning of production for ordering raw materials needed and also control the capacity of the available capacity on the company, both the capacity of the working hours and the capacity of the machine working hours. From the results of this research note that for orders in the month of September 2014, the working hours and machine hours capacity available is still sufficient. Besides that, the cost of goods manufactured was also calculated to find out the approximate cost of manufacturing for the ready order,which the cost of goods manufactured on September 2014 was 874.240.090 rupiahs. Moreover this research is also made an application that can allow the company to do the production planning and control. |
