He delivers a succinct, lucidly written analysis along these lines that, in a very welcome fashion, barely acknowledges ‘interactivity’ and thankfully ignores technicist blandishments about ‘mobile content’, ‘new platforms’ and the rest of the current shibboleths. Instead, he does exactly what he says he will do – focus on the ‘box’ of mainstream television where, for a vast majority, television still resides.
