Isi artikel
The long-running current affairs series World in Action figured as one of UK commercial television’s most prominent examples of public service broadcasting, and – with its later use of ‘Vitruvian Man’ in its opening credits – provided a popular symbol of quality television. Drawing upon access to World in Action’s personnel as well as to the archives of Granada television, Goddard et al. provide a well-informed history and analysis of this pivotal programme, including the issues covered, its relationship with the politics of the day and the journalistic cultures that informed its production.
