Isi artikelMost research in the field of computer-mediated communication is still largely available in the form of journal articles and papers while books are few and far between. In such a scenario, each new book is eagerly awaited for the larger arguments and perspectives it has to offer. In the book under review, Computer-Mediated Communication for Linguistics and Literacy: Technology and Natural Language Education, Bodomo Adams evaluates the role of the new communication technologies in the three domains of language, literacy and education. He argues for a technologically deterministic view of language and literacy based on the empirical studies done by him in collaboration with his students.
