Abstract
Background : Childhood obesiti is a global burden which beco a concern in so many establish countries. The development of parenting pattern with more instant food and modern games which limmited the children phisical activity, yet become a factor of childhood obesity. The wrong paradigm of most parents in the develop countries that said the fat children is the healthy one become a very corcenin issue. Parents are usually don’t know that childhood obesity is a risk factor of adulthood obesity.
Discussion : According to National Centre for Health Statistic, 2-19 years old children consume about 10% more than the guideline. Rise in long term of fat consumtion in every ages associated with higher prevalence of childhood obesity. Lorson B, et al said that theree quarter of American children only eat 5 serving of fruits and vegetables, while 8-9 are required. The Ministry of Health Malaysia and Academy of Medicine Malaysia said that rise in simplex charbohydrate consumtion and higher portion of serving associate with childhood obesity in their country. According to Wang L, et al children eat in a big portion serving but do not have an adequate nutrition.
Conclusion : Limmitation of food intake can prevent the childhood obesity. More over limmitation of macro and micronutrient according to some dietary guidelines for spesific age, yet can prevent childhood obesity and also can manintain children body weight. Else than nutririon factor, there are others factor which also become a concern for parents in preventing
childhood obesity.
