In Indonesia, there are still a few researches about this subject. Hence, the aim of this study was to determine the association between cow milk and dairy products and acne vulgaris. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in November 2014 among 153 respondents at Kasih Kemuliaan High School Jakarta. Data related to milk and dairy products consumption were obtained using questionnaire. Meanwhile, the acne vulgaris was observed and the severity was determined by Modified Global Acne Grading System. Data analysis performed using Chi-square test with p value = 0,05. Results: Higher frequency of milk consumption (> 3 times a week) was found in respondents with mild acne, while more respondents with severe acne do not consumpt milk (p = 0,535). More respondents with severe acne consumpt low fat milk, whereas higher respondents with moderate acne consumpt whole milk (p = 0,662). Respondents with severe acne are equal within those who consumpts dairy products 1-3 times and > 3 times a week (p = 0,532). Conclusion: The result shows no significant relationship between milk and dairy products consumption frequency as well as types of milk with severity of acne (p > 0,05).
