| Dermatophytosis is infective disease that can be found especially in tropical area, like in Indonesia. Medications for dermatophytosis are wasting much money. Cheaper, easily reachable, and effectivealternative medications are needed. Lime Juice (Citrus aurantifolia) contains of aetheric oil, phenol, flavonoid, steroid, terpenoid, and tannin that is believed could inhibit growth of dermatophyte fungi. The purpose of this research is to learn in vitro antifungal effect of Citrus aurantifolia on Trichophytonmentagrophytes growth. In this research, Lime Juice is tested in concentration of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%.Trichophytonmentragrophytes fungi tested is result of 6 day in age subculture. The result of this research shows presence of inhibition capability in every concentration of Citrusaurantifolia juice, with the optimal consentration of 80% and 100%. It could be concluded according to this research that Citrusaurantifolia juice has in vitro antifungal effect on Trichophytonmentagrophytes growth. |
