The main purpose of this research is to make some regression models. The first model is formed based on the relationship of lifestyle factors and energy expenditure. The second is the relationship between heart rate and energy expenditure. And the third is the relationship between energy expenditure and VO2max. The formation of this model aims to estimate the level of energy expenditure and physical fitness of young people who are influenced by their lifestyle factor. Sample taken based on probability sampling techniques, especially stratifed sampling. Sample taken divided into two groups based on sex, each a total of 38 women and 38 men with that age range is 18-21 year. The form of experiments in this research is, the subjects were asked to perform activities of Step Test for 3 minutes. This activity refers to the Queen College Step Test. During do step test, every minute of it a subject heart rate and energy expenditure is measured using heart rate monitor. Vo2max is calculated by a formula that existed at Queen College Step Test. This research was conducted at the Laboratory Work System Design & Ergonomics Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. The processing data was assisted by software SPSS 13 and Minitab 16. Data on energy expenditure and lifestyle factors, then recapitulated and statistically tested with normality test, correlation, residual normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, regression model test. As for the heart rate data toward energy expenditure and energy expenditure data toward VO2max, the data the statistical test such as: tests of residual normality, simple regression model test. Furthermore, after all the models are formed, then tested the two flats for model validation using two sample paired t-test. That function to see if the model can be used. Based on the validation results, there is no difference between the results obtained from the model with experimental results. This applies to all three models are formed. |
