Isi artikelThe adolescent is a period of human growth and maturity, that need intake of nutrition to get optimal growth. Athlete rhythmic gymnast is athlete was have ability to impeccable timing, concentration, elas¬ticity of body, and power. To get on optimal performance an athlete gymnast must have a slim body and exercise minimal 20 hours a week. Athlete rhythmic gymnast must have weight less. That can influence athlete to con-sume nutrition less than she needs. Another side athlete rhythmic gymnast must have weight less than normal, it’s can influence nutritional status that young athlete. Purpose this research to look description intake consume nutritional (energy, carbohydrate, fat, protein, Ca, and Fe) and nutritional status at young athlete rhythmic gymnast. This research use crossectional design. Sample this research is total population to number 14 athlete that age 12-18 years. This research was done athlete following exercise in Radin Inten gymnastic stadium Ja¬karta in August-September 2008. Colecting data with interview use questioner, weight scale, measure tall body and measure Hb degree. Data was analyzed use univariate analysis. Result the research to indicate subject was malnutrition is 64% and just 36% have good nutrition. Average intake nutrition at subject is less than needed and recommended dietary allowance (RDA). Intake consumption energy at subject 33% from total energy. Intake from carbohydrate is low just 57% and from fat 30%. Like that intake energy from protein is low just 15%. Con¬sumption Ca and Fe substance at subject is so low just 254 mg/day and 10 mg/day. If consumption of nutrition at subject always less than needed, is worried subject who have good nutritional status will be have bad status. Suggestion have nutritionist who concern to manage nutrition
