This research is only preliminary to study agrammatic patterns in Indonesian aphasics. Neurolinguists have the same opinion that Broca's aphasics have suffered impairment to the phonological system, but debate whether the grammatical component of language is impaired. Therefore, this paper attempts not only to find out the agrammatic patterns in Indonesian aphasics, but also to answer whether the syntactic deficit of Broca's aphasic is caused by grammatical processing which is failed in the nervous system or by another reasons.
