Awareness of the Indonesian people to pay attention to the design of tables and chairs that are used by students mainly by primary school students is lacking. The design is usually not done on the basis of anthropometric data of the students or the draft that has been provided by the Indonesian National Standard ( SNI ). Care less attitude of the school can be reflected in the many complaints that disclosed the students as long as they use a table and chairs for teaching and learning activities. Discrepancy dimension tables and chairs that they use will have a negative impact if done in a long period of time, such as fatigue, muscle pain , cramps and muscle pain even at around the shoulders and neck can lead to headaches . Discrepancy dimension tables and chairs used by the students are found in SDN 05 Petang Srengseng Sawah , South Jakarta. This school uses 2 different dimensional tables and chairs, namely large and small. Both types of tables and chairs are scattered randomly each existing class, allowing all students to use both types of the table and chairs. By using the equation proposed by Parcels, Stommel, Hubbart ( 1999 ), many discrepancies resulting dimension tables and chairs with dimensions Antropomteri students. In addition SNI issued two recommendations dimension tables and chairs. Having evaluated both dimensions also result in non-compliance is high enough at any age group. Many of the students expressed their complaints on a limb in the evaluation sheets complaints in school children. Complaints of these students will be a subjective view of dimensional discrepancies school desk and chair with their anthropometric dimensions. Based on the given recommendation tables and chairs based on anthropometric dimensions of evening students of SDN 05 Petang Srengseng Sawah.
