This research covers aspects related to production system improvements using lean thinking concept in the industrial environments. The study case discussed here is carried out at PT. Pratama Abadi Industri which is a manufacturing company specialized in fabricating quality degradation occurs on the products and long manufacturing time. Therefore, based from the resulfs of criteria parameter calculation, the PCE (Process Cycle Efficiency ) value for current state is 4,57%. While the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) value for current state is 85,40% with each of its components (availability, performance, and quality) value are consecutively given as follows: 90,47%, 99,29%, and 95,06%. ased from the observation, several waste were found so that waste identification process will be done as well as calculating the highest total cost for each types of waste. Using Pareto Diagram, it is known that critical waste happens to be defect waste. The cause of potential failures for the critical waste then will be identified by using the comparison of FMEA operator error on the shop floor (highest weight value: 0,424). Lean thinking methods that are applied in this research including: 5S design, line balancing, kanban, and job standardization. Based from the proposed improvement result, the value stream mapping for the future state . Furthermore, the design of proposed improvement will be simulated using ProModel software. |
