Isi artikelIt is not something exaggerating, if we say that "a half breathes" of the current Indonesian Legal system is still under influence of Dutch Colonial one. This condition can relatively be understood because what have been established is such long period of colonialism, which was nearly three ans a half centuries, are not that easy to change. On one side, at the beginning right after independence, what have been provided in the legal system at that time have made the newly independence state and nation easy and facilitated, because Indonesia does not have to hurry in formulating its own laws and legal system. However on the other side, as an independent country with full sovereignty, beyond all question the Republic nowadays needs to possess its own system and regulations that are more suitable with its own conditions in order to rule and protect its people and government. Unfortunately, in the yourney of the nation, there have been too many abstacles to solve with the result the idea to implement the legal reform is often restrained. As the consequence, up to date, those "obsolete lagal instruments" are still there alive.
