Currently, there are an increasing number of children suffering asthma in Indonesia. Suffering asthma might interfere childrens' daily living biologically, psychologically and socially. If children with asthma unable to adjust with their development task, it can disrupt their lives even affect their later development stage. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the asthma suffered by children on their daily lives and how their adjustment to this condition. This study used a qualitative approach with 2 subjects and 4 significant others involved. The sujects are 6-12 years old children who suffering asthma and the significant others are their mothers and teachers. Semi-structure interviwes and observation are used to gain the data from the participants. In addition, projective approach is also employed for the second subject only. The findings show that astma apparently is not such a big problem for the children life. Both subject, can still do their daily activity just like other children who are not suffering asthma. They are also successfully fulfilled their tasks in their development stage. The adjustment they do are influenced by the subjects' perspective on their disease and life, and also by the degree of support they received from the people around them. In addition, this study suggests that the clarity of the trigger for asthma attack is an important factor that affecting the adjustment of the children.
