The percentage of exclusive breast feeding in Indonesia is still low nowadays. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out the relationship between the nutritional status of nursing mother and the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding on nutritional status of under-2 years old child in nine health facilities, at Penjaringan disctrict, North Jakarta Methods: This research was conducted using cross-sectional methods in Nine Health Facilities, Penjaringan disctrict, North Jakarta. The sampling method used was accidental. A Total of 152 nursing mothers participated in this study and were interviewed using a questionnaire. Chisquare analysis was used to determine the relationship between nutritional status of nursing mothers and nutrition status of child under 2 years old and several other variables Results: There were 39,5 % nursing mothers that gave exclusive breastfeeding to their baby, and there was a significant relation between nutritional status of nursing mother and nutritional status of baby with p value = 0,000. There was not a significant relation between family’s income, mother’s knowledge, exclusive breastfeeding practice to nutritional status of baby 0-2 years old. Conclusions: Nutritional status of nursing mothers was often neglected by both mothers and healthworkers.
