Some linguists and psychologists argue that children or people before puberty have good capability in acquiring language, either the first language (L1) or the second language (L2) or foreign language (FL). As a foreign or second language learner, a child needs a variety of strategies that can improve his/her English communicative competence. On the other hand, a teacher has to teach English to children in various methods. One of methods assumed can enhance young learners’ involvement in learning English as a foreign language in Indonesia is teaching learners through songs. This is because; the learners can enjoy the songs, and they can learn simple language elements at the same time, such as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language skills. The learners also can sing a song or they can make short or simple song through teacher’s guidance. The teacher usually asks the learners to make a song lyric by using daily words. As an example: Duck, Duck, Duck is in the water, Duck is in the ground, It flies, It runs, It swims in the fishpond.
