It is an interesting and unique phenomenon as well, when a Javanese children used Javanese as their second language in a Javanese native-speakers’ society. This paper presents the initial findings of the children ways in producing both Indonesian as the first language and Javanese as the second one. Moreover, the writer analyzed the factors that influence the children in acquiring the second language (Javanese). Qualitative methods were used, via interviews and focus groups, with a selection of several young Javanese who live in Purbalingga, Central Java and use both Indonesian and Javanese. Respondents were approached via number of formal and informal contacts built up in some elementary schools. Respondents gave their consent to be involved and retained the right to withdraw that consent at any point during the study. Initial findings demonstrate that young Javanese use both Javanese and Indonesian in Particular context, they have an ability in switching and mixing Indonesian and/or Javanese. The general factors such as ; self esteem, extroversion, age, ability in using phonetic coding, attitude and motivation influence their Javanese acquisition and the last motherese didn’t influence the young Javanese acquisition too much.
