The Internet is an exciting place, full of potential for both EFL teachers and students. Many studies have been done on utilizing the Internet and its features. Weblogs or blogs, websites that can be accessed via the Internet, have been in existence since the very beginning of the world wide web itself. The integration of the Internet and Weblogs, however, is still a new thing for the teaching of English in non-English Department in State University of Malang. The study aims to uncover the lecturers’ and students’ perception on the use of the Internet in Bahasa Inggris Profesi (BIP) classes and to describe the possibility of Weblogs use in BIP classes. This is a qualitative study for the researcher intends to obtain as much information from interview with the lecturers and students as well as from observation of the BIP classroom activities. The findings show that lecturers and students have positive attitude toward the use of Internet integrated with the classroom activities. From the interview, the researcher finds that the lecturers and students are not yet familiar with Weblogs. While they are not familiar with blogs, the lecturers and students agree that Weblogs may come handy in the learning process in the future if the human resources (lecturers and students) are ready. In the end, it is undeniable that the department and university have to provide facilities in which lecturers and students are able to make use of the Internet and blogs to enhance their teaching and learning activities.
